"Heart FM 88.2 in Spain have been supporting my music since June 2009 when they playlisted 'The Clapping Song' and then in September it was 'K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid). After recieving good feedback from their Station followers, the team at the English speaking radio station chose me as their 'Artist of the week' and played 5 of my singles in that particular week of December 2009. The 'Artist of the week' also featured an exclusive 14 minute interview which i am happily making public.
The interview is in 2 parts.
Thank-you Heart FM 88.2 Spain.

Happy New Year. 2010 will be a very important year for me as it will be the year that f2f Music Limited will launch my first Album. This is planned for a June/July 2010 release. It is gonna be a really busy year which will also see the continuation of my European tour, which started in London last September and now resuming in Spain from June 2010. The key to a successful year is that YOU would like the album and support it. This support will then further srtenghten my International music career. So please look out for my album release this Summer. I am counting on your kind support once again. Thankyou so much. Love Sophie xx

Hi Everyone.
The Malta Music Awards last weekend was a blast. Really enjoyed it so much.
It all started on Friday 4th December when i wlecomed Bee Gee legend Robin Gibb at Malta International Airport (see pic by Ian Wright).
Saturday 5th December 2009 started with a bit of concern. Me and My Official choreographer Felix Busuttil had to be quick in changing the routine for 'Give it up' as we found a surprise waiting for us at the rehearsals >>>> a cat walk. But working with Malta's leading choreographer made all the difference. And soon we sorted that.
During Saturday evening i was invited by f2f Music Limited Record label boss Graham Mulvein to a star studded private reception in honour of Robin Gibb. That was really nice.
Straight after the reception i was whisked straight to the MMA venue. During my performance, My fabulous supporting Dance Artists were outstanding as were the audience. That made it a magical night for me and my team. Thankyou Felix x, Anthea x, Camille x, Darren x, Daron x, Emma, Franklin x, Karl x, Leanne x, Miky x and Raquel x and to the thousands in the audience x.
HAVE A NICE WEEKEND. XX

Hello Everybody,
After the April signing I always wondered what I was getting myself into with this 3 year signing. Would it work? Would it fail? So many questions I asked myself. The first time that I managed to partially answer the questions was when ‘The Clapping Song’ play listed on all the Radio stations in My resident Country Malta. That was such an exciting moment when all the people were talking about was ‘The Clapping Song’. Soon the song made all the local charts climbing higher than I ever expected.
My next curiosity was to see how my music would be received by the International media. Well when I released ‘K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid)' in the International music circuit, I was soon to find out. Many Radio stations around the World liked the song.
One of these radio stations was the fantastic ‘Radio Holiday’ on the Italian/Austrian border city of Tyrol. This station broadcasts to a daily listenership of 60,000 people in the city of Trol situated on the Italy - Austria border.
My single was put on a power play and Music Director 'Albert Dejaco' said that this would be a hit song on his station playlist. Well recently i was delighted to discover that the my single ‘K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid)' entered The ‘Hit Parade’, which is the Top 30 Airplay chart show at Radio Holiday. I was so happy at this news, especially being a new entry at high number 15. The week after ‘K.I.S.S.’ climbed up to number 11 and again progressed to number 7. It is still playing well there.
My love, hugs and thanks goes out to Dj Albi and his team at Radio Holiday, their fabulous listeners and of course My special love to God for blessing my music. :-)

My single K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid) has climbed to Number 1 in the Caribbean Island of Aruba.
I would like to share this news with you all and thank you all for your kind support. I dedicate this big success FIRSTLY to ' ELTON ZARB' the single's co writer who is also my Fabulous Music Producer. He is the BEST. Me and Elton are creating even better tunes which we hope you will like when we release them in 2010 as part of my Debut Album.
My number 1 spot also goes out to My Team, and to all of you who support my music career. YOU ARE MAKING ME STRONGER EVERY SINGLE DAY. PLZ KEEP UP YOUR SUPPORT AND THANKYOU xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I will post more breaking news soon. Keep on visiting.

25 million blogs, 18 million registered users, ranked at No. 6 best website in France and No. 90 best website from millions of websites Worldwide. So according to Alexa.com experts, SKYROCK.COM is a massive website which has 172,081 other sites linking in. France is one of those countries that fascinates me. It was in 2006 that i visited this beautiful Country for the first time. The trip was to the exciting ‘Disneyland Paris’ resort. During this long weekend me and my family booked a night tour of one of The World’s leading Capital Cities - Paris. I was in a dream World as i was visiting the City that i had read so much about. And i visited the location where the person I looked up to most was killed in a car crash 11 years ago. I am talking about the fabulous ‘Princess Diana’. Flowers still line the tunnel where the fatal crash happened. I really enjoy reading about this lovely Country. Music wise France is very rich with a lot of talented musicians and artists. Likewise their Music websites / Blog sites are so cool and very pro. So when the SKYROCK.COM Team from France started full collaboration with my Management over my music career, I was so so happy. My Music page and blog is now on their homepage <<HERE>> and <<HERE>> where you can register and be my friend and share in all the excitement that Skyrock.com brings about. J So I would love you to join me as a friend on this fantastic web portal. You can register right <<HERE>> . It’s free and one of the best places in the World to be.
Exciting news just arriving to me from The Caribbean region.

Hiya Everybody. I am very happy to introduce you to VIVA FM, a fantastic Radio station situated in Hasselt, Limburg. The Team at VIVA discovered my music in the 2nd week of October 2009. Now I would like to share with you all that the Belgian/Dutch station support has got stronger ever since.
The first time i heard about Mr Benny Vanvoorden, Station Manager at VIVA FM, was when my Management received a note that my single ‘K.I.S.S. Keep it simple stupid’ was put on High Rotation at the station. When i found a quiet moment, I managed to visit their <<super fantastic website>> where i found a really great site. My single had a terrific reaction from the VIVA FM fans in Belgium and Netherlands. This prompted VIVA FM to further support me and soon they published my single and profile photo in their ‘New Music’ page. This was really good support. Then VIVA FM had this idea of filming me doing my favourite hobby >> drawing. Yep drawing for a radio station. LOL. I can see your face, you are all surprised and curious!! LOL. Take a look at the film clip <<HERE>> to see what this was all about.
Things were building nicely at VIVA FM for me and my single ‘K.I.S.S. Keep it simple stupid’. But that there was more to come.
Yesterday, Friday the 13th November was a good day for me and My Team. A Big surprise by Benny and his Team at VIVA FM was waiting for me. ‘K.I.S.S. Keep it simple stupid’ was made <<The ‘Bunker Plate of the week>>. This effectively meant a super power play for a week with the song receiving multiple plays all day long.
This morning the first thing i did, was talk to my Record label Boss Graham Mulvein in London about this important support by Benny and VIVA FM. Based on this f2f Music Limited will be pencilling in a visit to Belgium and The Netherlands as part of My European promotional tour in Summer 2010. Of course my first exclusive visit in Belgium and The Netherlands will be to VIVA FM studios. I will be promoting my Debut Album during this promotional 2 month tour.
I would like to send my hugs thanks to YOU ALL - VIVA FM Team and listeners for supporting me and my single. See you in Belgium and The Netherlands next year, all being well.
Thank-you God.
Love Sophie xx
<<Station Website>>
1Club.fm are World class radio stations featuring exciting shows like Filo & Peri, Eddie Halliwell and DJ Santana. The Stations are based in Chicago, U.S.A.. There are 90 Radio channels at this fantastic online portal offering the best music around. Channel One is one of the leading stations at 1Club.fm. This station covers all of today’s Pop and Rock hits on one channel. It was early October 2009 when my Management sent ‘K.I.S.S. Keep it simple stupid’ to the Station Head of Music, Mr Sal Amato. It wasn’t long before Sal was listening to the song and he liked what he heard, saying “this is just like the Ting Tings’ only better”.
My single was put on ‘Breakout’ rotation at Channel One. Within 4 weeks the single was a hit amongst the thousands of listeners at the station, and Sal Amato asked me to record ‘Radio Drops’ to give me more presence at this station. Things progressed swiftly here and 1Club.fm Team came in with more fantastic support by promoting my Music to the World on their homepage <<HERE>> and on important 1club.fm portals such as this <HERE>> .
Mr Sal Amato has been a tower of support since my Management introduced him to me 5 weeks ago. My Management asked Sal what made him support Sophie’s career so strongly...
Sal said: “Being in the biz for 30 plus years as a programmer, an A&R director and more as well as being the first to play artists like Taylor Dayne, Expose, Alannnah Myles, Hootie & The Blowfish, Crystal Waters, The Ting Tings, Nickelback etc, my ear's pretty in tune with what the world's gonna love in time. I get tortured with tons of crap each day and then there's great, fun, unpretentious songs like this by Sophie. If she gets picked up in the States she's going to have a few hits of her own. Right now, we're banging K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid) heavy on our ChannelOne (Mainstream Pop) channel because it's just that. Anyone who misses the boat just doesn't have a good enough ear. That's ok, they'll eventually have to play it down the line, just like Taylor Dayne, just like Nickelback and so on and so on.”
I really love my fabulous friends at 1club.fm. This is the most fabulous place to be if you love interacting with the World, listening to non stop music hits, and a million other fun things. So i suggest that you become a member here. I visit this page every day. You will love it, just like i do.
Recently my record label f2f Music Limited struck a deal with U.S. based 'Jango', which happens to be the 8th largest Radio station in the World. The American web media have now posted my profile and music on their website. Its really cool to be on this important network as this means i am making a lot of new friends here. Friends mean The World to me and in this exciting journey, all my friends ride with me wherever i go. This is because my friends have a place in my heart all the time and in whatever i do. 'Jango' is very exciting as it gives me more presence in The U.S.A. and in just under 3 weeks presence for me at this excellent Music Network, i would like to share the excitement that My Music recieved 9,000 plays and some fabulous comments. This is the third American link for me after 1Club.fm and EYE97. You can visit my page right here <<Jango>>.

PRESS RELEASE BY f2f MUSIC LIMITED
Malta’s young pop princess Sophie, will officially welcome Bee Gee music legend Robin Gibb and his party to Malta, when they land at Malta International Airport on the afternoon of Friday 4th December, to accept this year’s Malta Music Awards Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of The Bee Gees.
Sophie is absolutely thrilled to have been chosen to represent Malta’s up-and-coming young singer/songwriters, with Robin Gibb being on record as the 5th most successful British songwriter of all time. The Bee Gees have sold more than 220 million albums, an astounding number of sales, only ever bettered by The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney.
The Bee Gees music literally revolutionized the face of nightclub dance, with the launch of the movie ‘Saturday Night Fever’ in 1977, which was quickly followed the following year by the movie soundtrack to ‘Grease’. Up until Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ album, Saturday Night Fever was the biggest-selling album of all time. Their hit records – written for themselves and countless major international artists are innumerable!
Sophie is also hugely honoured to have been invited to take part in a ‘Let’s Talk Music’ Malta TV special with Robin Gibb, that will be recorded during Mr. Gibb’s visit to the island. She will perform the TV premiere of her new single GIVE IT UP! at this year’s Malta Music Awards event and she is absolutely thrilled to have had the opportunity to co-choreograph this number with Malta’s leading dance light, Felix Busuttil. Of the YADA Dance Company.

God blessed me when he gifted me a British Mum and Maltese Dad. This means i have had the pleasure of experiencing the two different cultures for 15 years. Although my Maltese is not that hot thanks to my Dad speaking English in the household LOL, I love Malta and anything Maltese as much as i love Britain and all things British :) . First of all here's a little History for you ..... several thousands Maltese people emigrated to Australia searching for a better life in the 60s. They went by boat as there were not much air transport like today. That was a heck of a long boat journey for them. Actually this reminds me of a very sad situation in 2009 where boat loads of people are travelling the Mediterranean sea quite close to where i live on Malta, and seldom get to where they wish to go. Some end up ‘imprisoned’ in a Camp, then sent back where they came from and some, very, very very sadly, have even lost their lives. All these boat people want is a better life, just like the Maltese people wanted in the 60s. Hence their journey to Australia back then. When i speak about Beautiful Australia there are thousands of Maltese people living in this Continent, with the 2 major communities living in Sydney and Melbourne. My cousin Victoria Debattista emigrated to live in Australia 2 years ago. She followed her sweetheart Adam and I am soooooooooooo proud of her. She loves it there and it is one of my dreams to visit Aussie Land. Speaking about Australia i am really happy to share with you all that i have got the first Australian Radio playlist. This is Melbourne based '3 WBC Radio'. They just have put my single 'K.I.S.S (Keep it simple stupid)' in their station rotation. The station is owned the ‘Whitehorse Boroondara Community’. You can also listen from anywhere in the World >> online here <<. You can listen on the 94.1 FM dial if you live in the area of Inner Melbourne (see map with City of Boroondara info link below).
This story goes beyond the unbelieveable. I will not mention Names for obvious reasons. My Management got a phone call the other day from a radio station in UK. The UK Radio Station were planning a huge 'event' which included Artists such as Bonnie Tyler, Alesha Dixon, Stereophonics and JLS. This was extremely exciting being involved in the same radio show with these Big Names. All was set for the 'event'. What follows next was very disappointing for me and my team. My Management got another phone call from the same Station saying that they had to suddenly postpone the Event to a later date. This phone call came exactly on the morning of the supposed 'Event'. Well i have had so much joy over the last 6 months, since i have been signed to f2f Music Limited, and My Management have made my International profile so much better, that this was truly a 'needle in a haystack' BUT DISAPPOINTING. Well if any of you ever get an exciting call promising something exciting, don't get too excited very quickly. You do not want to get the feeling i had over this 'event' let down. Pity the organizers lost their face with me and i will never ever have them on my list of friends.
I love the feeling when things go right, just like i hate the feeling of sadness, ah!! but that's life really isn't it. A life of ups and downs. My suggestion is when life feels down, keep on fighting and believing. When life is up, enjoy every second of this. :) In my last news post i mentioned the exciting news re Chicago, USA. Well after my single entered the Breakout rotation at Chicago based 'Hit Music Station 1 Club.fm's Channel One' , I am now very happy to share with you the news that I have my own web page at the 1 Club.fm portal. You can visit my page and explore what the fantastic 1 Club FM Portal is all about. Enjoy it >> right here <<.
There is one thing in life which is totally totally true. Hard work most often gets results. My brilliant team based in Malta and UK work really hard at promoting my music all over the globe. And they are not doing so bad at all. Until yesterday K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) was playlisted at Radio Stations in Europe, Middle East, The Caribbean and Asia. Today I am thrilled to share with you all that the single is now on ‘Breakout’ rotation in Miami, Chicago in The United States of America. 1 Club.fm Boss, Sal Amato loved the single and called quickly labeled it a ‘hit song’ and he playlisted it on Channel One. More than this he asked me to record radio station adverts to promote my single at his popular hit music station ‘Channel One’. He even encouraged my Management to push for me in U.S.A. as he said “Sophie needs 6 to 8 months of promotion in US and she will make it”. With this comment I must say thankyou so much to Sal for believing in me like this. I promise him that he will get my new music immediately upon release. And I will never forget his comments. Very encouraging for me. >> Station website. <<
My Irish webmaster, Conor Ewings, whom me and my Team call Mr. Genius and Mr. Awesome as he is so clever, has been updating my Team with some fantastic figures which are so encouraging. The Belfast based webmaster gave us the following update: >> My Website << got 70,000 fans visiting in June 2009, 120,000 fans in July 2009, 200,000 fans in August 2009 and 320,000 fans in September 2009. Facebook friends also increased over the summer period with 1 facebook page full to capacity with 5000 friends. The second facebook page is now being published. I must thank all of you for the excellent support you give me. Thank you so much to all and of course, Thank you God xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Great news coming in from f2f Music Limited. British Chart show host and producer Spencer James has just presented my single in the eXpat chart. The great news is that 'K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid)' entered the european eXpat charts at an astonishing number 6 as a New Entry. My single was one of 3 new entries. 'Bodies' by 'Robbie Williams' came in straight at number 1, My single at number 6, 'Happy' by 'Leona Lewis' at number 16 and 'I want to know what love is' by 'Mariah Carey' at number 26. The eXpat charts is aired on the following Radio stations. The high position for me comes in the wake of 'The Clapping Song' my debut single peaking at number 8 in the top 40 charts and staying for 9 weeks in the top 40. The high placing for K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid) means that the following International radio stations are frequently powering my single:
The Official website to the eXpat Chart is here. You can listen to my interview on the eXpat chart show here.
The Caribbean Sea is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The area's natural beauty is outstanding and it is my dream to visit such a beautiful part of the World. Right in the heart of The Caribbean are the beautiful 'Netherlands Antilles' Islands which consist of 2 groups of Islands. With an area of 800 km square, the 185,000 + population of the Main Islands Aruba, Curacao and Bonair love their music. David Guetta, Mariah Carey, Bon Jovi, Keri Hilson are but a few of the big stars whose music is enjoyed by the Islands. One of the Biggest Radio stations in the area is situated in Aruba. 'Hit 94 Fm stereo' is a buzzing station with a very cheeky slogan 'We blow the competition away'. Station Director Mr John Habibe and his team have now playlisted 'K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid) at 'Hit 94 Fm stereo' and on Saturday 19th September 2009 i was interviewed libe on the 'Aruba Top 20 Chart show'. It was so nice speaking live to the people of The Netherlands Antilles and i promise them that one day in the future i will visit their beautiful Islands. Me and My music mentor/producer Elton Zarb are really thrilled to have our music now also playing in The Caribbean. My single has been playlisted with the Hit songs currently on air at the station. On the morning of Wednesday 23rd September 2009 I recieved a very nice phone call from Nathan Morley, a leading media personality currently working at CYBC Radio, Cyprus National Radio Station. He had recieved my new single 'K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid) and loved the single calling it 'A Great track' Nathan said that my hit song would be playlisted at their most popular station 'Radio Napa'. More than that he wanted to chat to me live on air during his drive time show during the same afternoon. Well i was thrilled to accept this brilliant invitation and the interview went really well. I enjoyed speaking to the Cypriot people, and in fact i want to send my love to a dear friend of mine, Cypriot star 'Marios Tofi' and his lovely mama 'Vicky' who are Cypriot. Marios is a fabulous and gorgeous artist and we have met a few times in Malta and in Norway. Why Norway?? One day i will tell you that story :). I want to thank CYBC radio, Nathan Morley and The People of Cyprus for their support. http://www.radionapa.net/

I am now working on 4 brand new songs with My Musical Genius and Producer Elton Zarb. We have so much energy for new material and the very positive International and Local feedback i am getting from my Record Label and Management is giving me and Elton a lot of encouragement. So soon i will be releasing my next single which you are all gonna love. Watch this space for the song release around end of October 2009.
There are those times when Music takes a break and i attend an event where I DO NOT HAVE TO PERFORM...LOL. Tonight i was invited to a very well organized launch by My friends at 'Take 2' one of Malta's best Media professionals. Accompanied by my beautiful personal assistant Colette I was thrilled to view their amazing and impressive work. I met leading 'take 2' perosnalities Carlos and Abigail and the evening was a huge success. My Record label f2f Music Limited are now moving to collaborate with this leading Maltese Company for my next music video. So as you might guess i am so excited about this especially working with Abigail. Of course, she was a member of the Fabulous Mistra Animation Team, the fabulous nineties group of extremely talented individuals. These guys were my inspiration to enter the World of Showbiz. People like Abigail, Peter, Belinda, Stefan, 'Snits' and so many more were instrumental in what i am doing today. Thankyou Guys/Girls. xx

In July 2009 BLISS MAGAZINE Junior Features Editor ‘Ms Lucy Peden’ visited me in Malta. Lucy Peden was coming straight from interviewing JLS, the new British Boy Band and already chart toppers in the UK. So i got to know a lot of juicy things about these hunks. Ha Ha !!! Her visit Malta was a resounding success where me and Lucy got on so so well. We met for dinners, had evenings out clubbing and we toured The beautiful Maltese Islands together. It was Lucy s first visit to Malta and she loved it so much. Lucy’s visit to Malta was to discover who ‘SOPHIE’ was and to see if i had the credentials for a future career in the International Music Industry. Well after Lucy’s 3 days in Malta, BLISS MAGAZINE published an amazing 2 page feature about me (see photo or buy the October edition out on sale now). Lucy Peden stayed at the Fantastic Radisson Blu Hotel, St. Julian’s a hotel that forms part of The ISLAND HOTELS GROUP one of my Premier Sponsors. and i must say she was ever so impressed with her hosts. They are the very best hosts i assure you J. Her visit was fully supported by THE MALTA TOURISM AUTHORITY. Thankyou Bliss Magazine, Thankyou Lucy. www.mybliss.co.uk
Natalie Edwards is a brilliant journalist who works at British National Newspaper The ‘DAILY STAR’. She covers all Music events for the newspaper Music section called ‘PLAYLIST’. Back in summer Natalie visited Malta to watch my performances at The Coca Cola Malta Music Festival and The Farsons Great Beer Festival which happened in one weekend. She was also interested in reviewing my new single, K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid) which was due for International release on the 21st September 2009. You can read the review by The ‘DAILY STAR’ by clicking right here. The visit was supported by My Premier Sponsors ISLAND HOTELS GROUP and THE MALTA TOURISM AUTHORITY. Thank you Ms. Natalie Edwards (Music journalist), Ms. Kim Dawson (Playlist Editor) and of course Daily Star.
My New single 'K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid' is currently being promoted all over The Unites Kingdom, Europe, Asia, Australia and Japan. My Management Team and record label are working round the clock 24/7 to spread my music across the Globe. I have been getting some positive vibes from them and I am told that the single has been a hit in Cyprus and Belgium ahead of the International release on the 21st September 2009. The single has also been added to the Expat Chart playlist where it will get played a lot in UK, Monaco, Spain, Cyprus, Canary Islands, Greece, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Zambia, Singapore, and Oman too. I am so excited and really wish that the single will make a bigger impact tham My debut single 'The Clapping Song' which climbed to number 7 in this big European chart and is still going well at number 20 this week. The single has been in the charts for 7 weeks. 'K.I.S.S. Keep it simple stupid has also impressed BBC Radio 2 and 6 Head of Music Mr. Jeff Smith (pictured with his Team) who said:"It's a well put together and very catchy commercial pop song!" made me, My Music Mentor Elton Zarb, and all my team so happy. THANK-YOU Mr. Smith. We know we are slowly moving forward and climbing up the ladder of success. I really love all this excitement. Our hard work is giving us more good days than bad days at the moment. Well i hope that My Single does well. If you want to support me, please buy the download of 'K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid) from Amazon, itunes, play.com and Napster. www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/
Sunday and the last day of my tour. Actually it was a free day and for once SHOPPING - - LOL. In the morning i spent a lot of time reflecting ...... I came to UK on Tour to gather more International experience. I think that through the Rythm Parties, BJ White Swan, Southern Cross, Hey Jo and Malta Day UK performances, this was achieved. These were very successful and most enjoyable gigs for me and my fabulous dancers.. I was leaving the UK with a stronger International profile. But i had something missing from this tour, something that is fun, exciting and a good laugh. ICE SKATING. Yes that was it. So 5 hours before i was due to embark my favorite airline AIR MALTA me, Miky and Raquel were off to the Streatham ice rink where we had a brilliant time. I think Raquel fell off her skates followed by me and Miky. My personal assistant could not look and covered her eyes most of the time. For imagine one of us fell badly and was out of action for a while!! What would we do for the mega event coming up in December. LOL. We laughed about her panic impressions, bless her. Speaking about the mega event. Yep, will be my last live appearance for 2009. And it is going to be pretty BIG. Well since this is my last day on the European Friendship Tour 2009 – UK, i must thank the following who made the Tour such a success.... F2F MUSIC LIMITED, MY MANAGEMENT, AIR MALTA, EMMANUEL DELICATA WINEMAKER, SIMONDS FARSONS (CISK) LTD, MALTESE HIGH COMMISSION LONDON, MALTESE CULTURE MOVEMENT LONDON, QUBE SOUND, JOE BORG, GRAHAM MULVEIN, COLETTE DEBATTISTA, PAUL GREATOREX, BERNARD HAMILTON, DAVE WEST, ALAN / MARGARET BOWLEY AND JON ANDREWS. Finally i would like to thank my fabulous dancers for being at the top of their game in every show .... CHARLOTTE, MIKY, ANTHEA, RAQUEL AND LEANNE. (Photo: Who looks unsteady on these skates??..LOL...)
Malta Day UK. This annual event is the celebration of all Maltese people living in the UK and is organized by The Maltese High Commission London under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Mr. Bernard Hamilton and by The Maltese Culture Movement London under the direction of Mr. Bernard Scerri. In the morning i was a special guest for a meet and greet the Maltese Community in UK. This happened at The Westminster Cathedral Hall. Then i was present for the Procession which also took place this morning. It was very impressive indeed to see the Main Road at Westminster blocked by the Authorities for the procession to pass through. It made me smile and appreciate the importance of My Country Malta and the respect shown by the British people. Thank you Britain J. I was still mesmerised by all this when i realized that i had to get back to base for rehearsals for the evening show also related to Malta Day UK. After these rehearsals me, Miky and Raquel went to get ready for the show. Make up on, Hair done, stage clothes packed, and off we went to the venue for tonight’s Gala Dinner Dance at The Hyatt Churchill Hotel at St. James’ Square, London. I was the special guest star at the dinner dance which had a packed audience. Me, Miky and Raquel were on top form for this event. We gave a great show to the delight of the audience. After this we danced, danced and danced some more. This was a memorable night for me. Loved it so much. Well done to all who made this night such a resounding success. www.malteseculturemovement.com . (Photo: From Left is Raquel, Me and Miky having fun at Malta UK).
Friday today, and the day i had to travel back down to London. Quite a chilly day for September. But this was a good excuse to put on my black hoody and off on the coach down to London Victoria. When you remember that i live on the beautiful Island of Malta where we get a regular 26C plus temperatures. This was another long ride with me Miky and Raquel sharing the i pod and listening to MY favorite artist ‘Pitbull’, whilst laughing and joking all the way down the M1 which is Britain ‘s biggest Motorway. Once in London it was back to business, yes, it was rehearsal time, both vocally and dancewise. The reason, the next day was effectively a very important day for me and ‘Les Girls’. Malta Day UK. After rehearsals finished at 11.00 pm, Sleep was the last thing on my mind. For i was super excited for the last show of My ‘European Friendship Tour - UK’. (Photo: Me and 'Les Girls' in London during the first week. The beautiful surroundings is St. James' Park).
Today was the day i dedicated to my songwriting. In fact my Music ‘genius’ producer sent me an email to outline the song plans for the ‘Debut Album’ based on instructions given by My Record label f2f Music Limited. Today i pencilled a lot of points, disjointed phrases, words that did not make sense in real life but become fantastic in a song lyric. I still rememb er My Malta Manager’s face when he saw the lyric of ‘K.I.S.S. Keep it simple stupid’ being pencilled in as notes... he read ‘Cheeky bum bum, boom boom’..... and looked unhappy as the words did not make sense on their own. But then when the song was built, the words became his favourite and i must add the favourite of many Industry professionals who call the song cheeky, and very catchy / commercial. In the afternoon i discovered that ‘Bliss Magazine’, the leading British teenage magazine, had gone out on sale in the shops (October issue). I rushed to the paper shop and picked up a copy and there it was on pages 36 and 37, the most brilliant feature about me appeared. Bliss Magazine Junior Editor Lucy Peden had really done a fantastic job with this feature. The headline said ’15, Famous, and Dumped on Facebook!’. Not exactly My ideal preferred title but the fantastic feature and all the pics on the double page soon made the title look good too. Plus i was getting a lot of immediate positive feedback on this feature. After all what s better than a bit of gossip. Bliss Magazine had asked my Management to follow me in Malta back in July and Lucy Peden had some out to Malta and spent 3 days with me and My Management Team. This trip was made possible thanks to Island Hotels Group and The Malta Tourism Authority. Thankyou. www.mybliss.co.uk (Photograph: '15, Famous, Dumped on Facebook ... That's me!! LOL Buy Bliss magazine October issue out on sale now and read my story xx)
What a great start to Wednesday. I always thought that my UK Tour would be boring if i was not performing every day. But today proved me all wrong. First things first. I woke up to a tasty breakfast of Cheerios, and juice. My Management were soon on the phone from London to check all was okey, BTW that is a routine they do while i am on tour to make sure I am still around and haven’t taken off with some ‘British Hunk’ LOL. Actually they were calling to give me the ‘thumbs up’ to my big wish, to spend a day at one of Britain’s best theme parks ‘Alton Towers’. Let me repeat this, they had said yes to riding on the fastest rollercoasters and stuff like that. Well off we went down the M1 Motorway from Nottingham to Stoke in Staffordshire. Me, Miky, Raquel and Colette, My personal assistant and person in charge of us 3 in Nottingham. As soon as we approached the Theme Parks, all the goose bumps started tingling inside me. I had visited this theme park when i was 4 years old but could not remember that much apart from My Mummy and Daddy taking turns in carrying me on their shoulder. Actually i do remember riding on these flying ducks i remember, mechanical ones of course . LOL. Well, now all grown up!! At 15 years old, here i was in the best Theme Park in The World and I had all day to enjoy this. Me and the Girls were in sheer heavenly bliss. We had a fabulous time and really enjoyed ‘Nemesis’, ‘Enterprise’, Oblivion’, ‘Rita’, ‘Submission’, ‘Ripsaw’, ‘The blade’, ‘Air’. ‘The Flume’, ‘Congo River Rapids’ and ‘The Haunted House’..... We had so much fun. The day flew by and i vowed that the next time i tour in the United Kingdom, a day at ‘Alton Towers’ will be on my diary. I can’t wait to go back. http://www.altontowers.com (Photograph: Watch out people, Me and 'Les Girls' mean business)
Tuesday and my first day of rest, How fabulous. OH YES a little break from my tour. Today was shoppamania as me, Miky and Raquel hit the Nottingham shops. Whilst out at the shops i had a fantastic surprise phone call from CYBC (Cyprus National Radio) who like my new single 'K.I.S.S (Keep it simple stupid) and have put it on their playlist. I found out that My Management and Record Label had started the new single promotion on that day, so CYBC reaction was immediate. That augurs well for the single. I was so happy that Drive time show host Nathan Morley called me in London. He sounded so nice. He will also be interviewing me live on air within the next 2 weeks on their drive time show. You will be able to hear this and all other interviews of mine in a new media page that my Brilliant Webmaster Conor Ewings is creating. Keep a look out for this soon........Tomorrow its’ Alton Towers ....... How does my favorite song of the moment go ...... Pitbull: ‘i know you want me, you know i want you ........ oh yeah Alton Towers here we come... J Today we were up early. Our video director wanted to finish filming the footage at Camden Lock in the most beautiful Bohemian part of London. First we filmed at probably the smallest London underground station ‘Chalk Farm’. Of course we had to be quick as of course no one can film on the underground. How naughty of us.. LOL. We did have a laugh though. Then it was up to Camden Lock market. Wow what a place. Full of shops that one can only find here and nowhere else. We browsed each shop and they had thousands of things I liked. But I did not buy thousands of things at all. I bought a discounted baseball cap. I will be back to shop properly when I get that hit record and make my first million….. LOL. Well we finished filming the footage for my first music video. We actually enjoyed today’s filming as we had to film walking on a busy road and play dodgems with passing traffic. The drivers looked amused, some looked bewildered. Well that was also another good laugh. Sunday evening was a bit sad as Charlotte, Anthea and Leanne had to go back home, leaving Me, Miky and Raquel in UK for the rest of the week. But this up coming week was going to be another fabulous week with a Big Finale planned for Malta Day on Saturday 12th September. (Photograph - My only buy from Camden Lock was a baseball cap LOL ).
Saturday, and the start of the weekend. Many people spend their Saturday evenings partying. My Saturday night in London was no different. Me, Charlotte, Miky, Anthea, Raquel and Leanne planned to party well (No alcohol though as per Management rules…maybe a Redbull LOL…. Na na na better not LOL). Hope no one is reading this….Ha!Ha! Well yes we planned to party – on stage in my 2 gigs. So this is how the Partying went …… 5 pm we arrived at ‘The Southern Cross’ in King’s Road, in trendy Fulham SW London. I sound checked, rehearsed the routines, and all went well as we had the Professional London Sound Company ‘Qube’ on board again. At 9.00 pm ‘John Galea’ my colleague who is also signed to f2f Music Limited, started his act as a warm up for my 45 minute show. He had his dancers on stage with him for his dance tracks, and also had talented Maltese Artist ‘Dean Muscat’ on stage with him for an acoustic set with live vocals and guitar. It was a good show by John and he is a new talent to watch out for. Then at 9.30 pm it was my show ‘Sophie Live’ and 45 minutes of high energy music. The audience loved the show and when the Finale came up, the guys in the audience were singing along with me. That was really cool. I had barely climbed off the stage at this venue, that me and ‘Les Girls’ were off into the heart of London’s West End and the ‘Hey Jo’ Night club, one of London’s classy clubs. This club is in the Piccadilly area of London and they have the most fabulous live acts on Saturday night. So you can imagine how nervous i felt arriving at this club. But as I usually do, the performing adrenalin took over and me and ‘Les Girls’ hit the performance area (a beautiful and exciting video floor and gave a fantastic show to the delight of the Club owner ‘Dave West’ and guests. The show was a success and I must say I would love to do that all over again. Thanks to Dave West for making my visit so enjoyable. http://www.heyjoclub.co.uk/london_clubs/gallery

Thank God it’s Friday today. And a day all dedicated to shopping, shopping and more shopping. However my exciting trip was VERY NICELY disturbed by the 2 XFM Malta 100.2 Drive time hosts. Yes that’s what happened, whilst I was browsing in my favorite fashion store ‘New Look’, The fabulous Jay and Lee called me live from their Malta based studio to catch up with my Friendship Tour. This was a really nice surprise, and it was nice to chat to them and of course their thousands of listeners in The Maltese Islands. Immediately after this phone call, it was a bit more shopping for me and then another nice surprise when again XFM Malta 100.2 launched their home grown page, a page in their website dedicated to Maltese artists and they featured my pic as one of the Leading Local Artists on the site page. Thank you Andre and XFM Malta 100.2. Check out this link www.xfmmalta.com/homegrown.php . Well what an eventful afternoon. It was supposed to be the first mini break from a tough week. But I really loved it. In fact it was not over yet. Ah well! Tonight was Gig number 3 for me. I was invited to perform a set at BJ’s Night Club at The White Swan. The venue was packed when me and my dancers Charlotte and Anthea walked in. This place is A happening place in Central London. Immediately as me and ‘Les Girls’ went into action the audience went absolutely crazy about my songs. They sang and danced through the numbers which were ‘The Clapping song’, ‘Baby give it up’, and ‘K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid). And at the end of the last song, they wanted more. A great evening, atmosphere and show. Tomorrow another big day, it’s truly a Saturday Night Fever feeling as me and my dancers have a double bill. Oh Yeah!! 2 shows…. (Photograph - Having a little break with my fabulous dancers (left to right) Charlotte, Miky, Anthea, Leanne, Me and Raquel).
Stage clothes, funky clothes, stilettos, shoes, make up, hair, cameras…… YES. Today was the day that f2f Music Limited had chosen for My Music video shoot of ‘K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid). The sun was in and out of the clouds, but the most important of all the rain stayed away. Me, Charlotte, Miky, Anthea, Raquel and Leanne soon found ourselves performing to the cameras of the Director on the roof garden at Malta House. They chose that location purely for its beautiful views of London. When this location was done, we discovered that the next location was Piccadilly Circus where we had to perform the song in the Circus area 5 times. Since we were wearing revealing stage clothes, it was so funny that a large audience gathered around us and soon they turned into new Sophie fans… LOL. They took photographs throughout our 35 minute stop in this busy location. What made me laugh so much was the Big Red London buses stopping traffic, cause the passengers wanted to take a glimpse of the excitiment at the Circus. Well we picked our bags and off to Trafalgar Square where controversy was soon upon us. We settled down and did 1 take of the song. Immediately 2 things happened. About 2000 people gathered round cheering us on and the Trafalgar Square wardens came along to move us. Why?? Because you need a permit to use this area for music one of them chirped. What was funny was that we were okey 100 yards away at the same location. That was so funny too. At the square a nice group of gay people kept thinking I was Lady Gaga, as if!! She is a superstar and I am just starting out… But I guess it was complimentary of them to say this. Next location was St. James’ Palace where we filmed walking across this fabulous bridge. Again it was soon time to be told to move by Mounted Palace Guards, who did not allow filming at the Palace Grounds. Ah well we still managed… LOL. Soon it was off to more filming this time near the London Eye. This was a very noisy place to film in, as there were street entertainers, skate boarders and workmen. But we managed to find a place for the filming of My August Live Blog On The Move. Just when I thought we were finished with all the excitement, f2f Music Limited announced that we had to walk Charing Cross Bridge for a commercial advert filming. This was news to me but added more excitement. Me and ‘Les Girls’ loved it today, and we felt like film stars … If only …… Tomorrow its Gig number 3 for me. At BJ Night Club in Limehouse. That would be a 1.30 am gig…. Can’t wait. xx www.f2fco.co.uk

This was the first day where Me, My Management and My Record Label f2f Music Limited had some time to sit down and plan the next 6 months of my career. This period will include a lot of work in the studio with my fabulous Music Genius Elton Zarb and the creation of some really great pop tunes we have in mind which will make part of My Debut Album, which is due for launching in April 2010. WOW!! we do have so much planned and I cannot wait to get back in the studio as I have missed it so much. Both My Management and Record label fully support my wish that I would have ample time to study well for my O levels - EDUCATION COMES FIRST of course. All I need is a 36 hour long day …. Ha Ha !!!. While we were in the meeting we recieved news that my feature on Bliss Magazine, one of Britain’s largest teenage magazine, was going out on sale very soon. Remember to buy it and read all the news and gossip about me in this double page feature. On Wednesday evening My Management surprised me and ‘Les Girls’ by taking us to watch 'Chicago'. What a Fantastic Musical, excellent singing, amazing choreography. This was a real inspirational show for me… Can’t wait for my next gig this Friday…..
Today was a really special day for me...An early start was required because we had to travel to Central London to pick up some last minute items from the fashion shops for the afternoon appointment. We arrived at the fabulous Malta House at Piccadilly where the Maltese High Commission staff, so ably led by Deputy High Commissioner Mr. Bernard Hamilton, really made us feel so welcome (Thankyou). The afternoon was very cloudy, and it had just started to rain as we moved up to the Roof Garden at Malta House. The PA guys were waiting to set up. But the rain stopped us from going onto the roof garden. Just as I thought that the event would be moved to the Large Commissioner’s office downstairs. f2f Music Limited Boss Graham Mulvein noticed the rain stop, and very bravely called the event to be set up outside, a wise move as it did not rain again. After soundchecking, and going through the whole procedure of the launch, it was time to move downstairs where me and ‘Les Girls’ got ready for ‘Showtime’ planned at 7.00 pm. The Maltese High Commissioner to The United Kingdom, His Excellency Mr. Joseph Zammit Tabona, opened proceedings with an important speech highlighting his support to Maltese talent. After this it was me and my dancers who dazzled the VIP guests at the glorious Malta House Roof Garden, in Piccadilly. The roof setting was amazing, with a stage backdrop of The London Eye, Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. Around 70 Maltese and International VIPs came to support me at the launch and this included personalities from The Daily Star, London Lite, Music-News.Com, Bliss Magazine, Sky Television who interviewed me for a private channel, The Malta Tourism Authority and so many others. I met so many nice people who encouraged me to keep up my good work. What a boost this evening was for me. My dancers loved it so much. It was a fantastic time with some of the most delicious food. My hugs and kisses and special thanks goes to f2f Music, Qube sound and lights, my dancers, all the helpers, all the guests, my sponsors for this event … The Maltese High Commission, Air Malta, Emmanuel Delicata winemaker and Farsons Brewery, but most importantly, THANK-YOU GOD. What a day that was!!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Commission_of_Malta_in_London
Today I woke up a little late. It was such a hectic but fun day on Sunday, so I was excused for a late start. LOL. I was really excited for today was My first London Gig as a signed Artist. But first me,‘Les Girls’ (A fabulous title for my Dancers Charlotte, Miky, Anthea, Raquel and Leanne), and My Malta Team were hosted to a delicious pasta lunch at f2f Music Limited Headquarters in Surbiton. Graham, Lynn Mulvein and Paul Greatorex really gave us a treat. Soon it was time to start ‘work’ and I went through a briefing and we prepared to travel to the Heart of Central London, Holborn. For my London debut tonight I was headlining the biggest under 18 event in the UK, The Rythm Parties’. After a good sound check, me and ‘Les Girls’ got all ready for the first gig, with some final touches by My Personal Assistant Colette. We had a fabulous audience who sang and danced with us throughout the show.. Me and ‘Les Girls’ rocked ...the stage at ‘the Rhythm Party’. A successful first night came to a close. We all went to bed excited as on Tuesday was my My UK career launch party. www.rhythmparty.com
Barely 4 hours after my appearance at the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert, me and the girls arrived at Malta International Airport, with my Management carrying a load of beverages aimed at the UK Career launch reception at The Maltese High Commission in London. It was hilarious seeing my Malta Manager trying to convince the Air Malta staff to allow the beverages, kindly supplied by Farsons Cisk Ltd and Emmanuel Delicata Winemaker, on the flight. However it was not to be, although My Premier Sponsor Air Malta were very nice to allow some of the beverages on board. And besides the day before they allowed 100 kg of beverages as cargo, so i was so happy about their support. Well we had a fabulous flight on Air Malta, great food and a 5 star service. As soon as i was off the plane and into Gatwick International Airport, My Record label whisked me off to my first radio interview on Surrey's Radio Wey. This exclusive interview with Jon Andrews included 1 hour of my music live on air. Songs played included 'K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid), The Clapping Song, Baby give it up, Sophielicious, Tale of a Princess, and Smooth criminal. Although feeling a bit tired after a late night and traveling that same day, I loved every minute of my visit to Radio Wey. Me and Jon chatted live on air about my tour which was just starting and about my forthcoming new single UK release. I also met the fabulous Jo Harding. Thankyou Jon. Thankyou Radio Wey. Thankyou Surrey. www.radiowey.co.uk

CIAL XFM 100.2 PRESS RELEASE: A freak storm almost put paid to the Michael Jackson Tribute concert at Valletta’s Waterfront last weekend.
Over 7,000 people turned up to see Malta’s top pop and rock stars pay tribute to the King of Pop. Ira Losco, Niki Gravino, Sophie and Melissa from Chasing Pandora were just some of the big names who sang their favourite Michael Jackson songs accompanied by a live band, 30 piece choir and dancers. Final rehearsals for the Saturday night gig had just finished when freak weather conditions hit Valletta at around 3.30pm. The stage was battered by rain, hailstones and 70mph gusts of wind. Three large screens which had been set up at the back of the stage were blown over by the freak winds and the metal frame work they were attached to was bent back.
After running repairs were made Mark Grima, director of Xfm 100.2 which organised the concert said “it was touch and go whether the concert would have to be cancelled – we took advice from the experts who indicated that the freak weather storm had blown away as quickly as it had blown in to the Maltese islands.”
Local charities the Saint Lazarus Foundation and the Muscular Dystrophy Group benefitted from the event.
SOPHIE: "At this concert I performed a pop rock remake of MJ s huge hit 'Smooth Criminal' accompanied by My fabulous dancers Charlotte, Miky, Anthea, Raquel, Leanne and Charlotte Stivala. The music remake was produced by myself and Elton Zarb, my music mentor".

I love my Management Team. They are regularly springing wonderful surprises on me. The latest one being supporting The Swedish Pop idol 2008 Winner Kevin Borg. The Maltese Artist was born on the 9th June 1986 in Floriana, Malta. Kevin lives and works in Sweden. He rose to musical fame as the winner of the fifth series of the Swedish singing competition Idol in 2008. He was the third male winner and the first in the show's history to be born outside of Sweden, having moved there exactly one year before he was declared winner. Last Sunday 23rd August, it was an honor for me to support Kevin, an Artist who is doing extremely well Internationally especially in Scandinavia. The concert was held at The Splash and Fun Water Park in Malta. I was supported by my fabulous dancers Charlotte, Anthea, Miky, Raquel and Leanne. ...Photo by Clinton Cutajar.

The tour starts on Sunday 30th August when me and My 5 fabulous Dancers Charlotte, Miky, Anthea, Raquel and Leanne, board our favorite Air Malta jet to London Heathrow. My Tour includes headlining the UK’s biggest under 18s event ‘Rythmn Party’ in Holborn, my official VIP UK launch party at The Maltese High Commission in London, My first music video shoot, a lot of gigs and also Radio interviews. Thank-you to My Premier Sponsor Air Malta, and also special thanks and hugs to The Maltese High Commission in London, Farsons Group and Emmanuel Delicata Winemaker.
The Clappi
ng continues to do well in the International Music circuit, nearly 2 months after its UK release on June 8th. After the single was play listed at some of the biggest English speaking Radio stations in the major holiday destinations, it made the Expat Chart playlist too and was up for chart entry. Of course it must have recieved a lot of plays at the following Radio stations: Radio Napa in Cyprus, Ace FM in Alhaurin & Coin in mainland Spain, Bay Radio in the Costa Blanca, Power FM in the Canary Islands, Luna Radio in Mallorca, HI FM in Oman, 88.6 Island FM in Zante Greece, Energy FM in Malta, Myexpatradio.com in Dubai, 24/7 Music Radio in Singapore, Kiss FM in Singapore,101.7 TNL Rocks in Sri Lanka and Blast radio in UK, which meant that my debut single entered the eXpat Chart as a new entry at number 10 on Sunday 26th July 2009 and went up 3 places to number 7 this Sunday 2nd August 2009. The eXpat Chart is produced and presented by Spencer James and is Europe’s newest Chart Show, and the only chart that reflects what listeners are hearing around holiday destinations. The eXpat Chart is compiled from station airplay, and the definitive guide to what’s hot, and what’s not in the World’s finest resorts. How exciting. This is so cool.!!
Just think about this for a minute. Imagine you get a phone call early one morning and you are told, A leading UK teenage magazine is doing a two page feature about you!! What would you do? Well this happened to me earlier last month. F2f Music Limited and my UK PRS Dawn and Simon informed me that a leading UK teenage magazine wanted to spend some time with me right here in Malta. So on Monday 27th July 2009, barely 12 hours after the UK leading Newspaper journalists finished their visit, I had the pleasure to meet Lucy who is one of the team of writers at this Leading UK publication whose readership reaches 1 million people Worldwide. Me and Lucy really got on well and spent a few days together. She had just arrived in Malta from being at a leading event covering the likes of JLS (She loved them to bits), N dubz and other International Superstars. Lucy enjoyed her first ever visit to Malta, but made it clear that she was here to find out a lot of information about me for her upcoming feature in the Magazine. The 2 page feature will be titled ‘At home with Sophie’. Lucy found time to meet my Producer, my Dancers, my Management, my PRs, my Premier Sponsors and my Family. She was also invited to XFM 100.2 on the Big Drive Home with Jay and Lee where she talked about her visit to Malta. She loved it on their show, I mean who doesn’t!! Those two are awesome. Lucy visited a lot of places of interest around Malta and Gozo thanks to the Malta Tourism Authority. I joined her for a boat ride to The Blue Lagoon thanks to Peter Borg from Radisson Golden Sands Watersports. Thanks Peter. I wish to thank my Premier Sponsors for making this trip possible, Island Hotels Group and The Malta Tourism Authority.
I am thrilled to show you the official press release sent out by my 2nd Premier Sponsor Air Malta. Wow having The National Airline supporting me is so cool. Thank you Mr. Brian Bartolo and all at Air Malta..

During a recent visit to XFM 100.2’s Big Drive Time Show, Jay and Lee announced that XFM 100.2 will be organizing a huge concert on the 29th August 2009 >>> ‘Michael Jackson’ Malta’s tribute concert. It will be held at The Valletta Waterfront. On the same show the popular XFM deejays announced that I was going to be one of the leading Artists at the concert. This was both surprising and so fantastic. Michael Jackson has inspired millions of people and I am one of them. He was an amazing Showman and his concerts were always breathtaking. So to sing in his tribute concert and on his 51st Birthday will be a dream come true for me. Hope to see you at this concert. Thank you so much XFM 100.2. Ticket details at www.xfmmalta.com
The weekend starting Friday 24th July 2009 will go down as one of the most memorable weekends that I have ever
experienced to date. For during this weekend British Music Journalists were in Malta meeting and interviewing me ahead of the UK release of my new single K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid). On Friday I was invited to the Official welcome dinner hosted by The Malta Tourism Authority. On Saturday 25th July I joined the journalists on a boat and we visited The beautiful Blue Lagoon in Comino. Saturday evening the journalists came to watch my live performance at the Malta Music Festival 2009 at Montekristo Vaults. On Sunday 26th July I joined the guests at the Radisson Blue Golden Sands where we had a great time swimming in 5 star surroundings. Actually the boat ride was so much fun. On Sunday evening the journalists attended the Farsons Great Beer Festival and here they watched my 30 minute set, which they enjoyed. Special thanks goes out to My fabulous dancers Charlotte, Miky, Anthea, Racquel and Leanne who supported me perfectly. On Monday 27th July I was indeed so happy to discover that the journalists will be writing a story about my 2 performances during the week starting Monday 24th August 2009 to commemorate my single’s UK release. I was also thrilled to find out that this leading British Newspaper will be organizing a competition about my single and the winners will travel to Malta to meet me in November 2009. That is so cool!! I would like to thank Mr. Alex Agius who provided his boat for The Blue Lagoon visit, Thanks to My Team, both in UK and Malta for they work so hard. Finally i would like to personally thank the sponsors who made this visit possible. Island Hotels Group, Air Malta and The Malta Tourism Authority.
My UK management team have announced that members of the UK national press are to travel to Malta at the end of July to interview and photograph Me, prior to My UK launch at the end of August. They will each be spending a few days with her, travelling all over Malta and covering the two performances which I am headlining next weekend at the Coca-Cola Malta Music Festival and at the Farsons Great Beer Festival.
With My recording of The Clapping Song having created a lot of interest right across the UK, following its play listing on a number of radio stations, My team said that interest from the UK press and media is hot , and expectations are high there for the release of My second single, K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid), at the end of August.
My hard working management team said that My international fan base continues to grow and my web site www.totallysophie.com is now getting an average rate of 60,000 hits per month.
On Monday last week, when My management loaded My latest Video Blog, they said that interest from My fans was so intense, that it actually caused the server to crash for a short amount of time due to the amount of traffic it was receiving.
This week, The Clapping Song was Ex-Pat Music Charts, which is followed in 14 countries around the world, and I was chosen as the featured artist on a major Nepalese Fan website. Interest in Me is becoming truly worldwide.
My management team concluded by saying that me and my dancers fly to the UK on August the 30th for a series of appearances, press and media interviews. I have been chosen to headline Rhythm Parties, the largest Under 18’s Music Event in the UK, which takes place in London on August the 31st.
The UK press visit to Malta has been kindly supported by VisitMalta.com, the Island Hotels Group and Air Malta.
My new single K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid) has had a somewhat indifferent start in Malta. I do not know whether it is the reason that I am 15 years old or not. But The Music Industry is really strange in Malta. This is the scenario… At one of the leading Radio stations top 40 International charts, the single is currently at Number 10. At another National Radio Station ‘s Malta Charts its at number 1. The rest of the stations have been very cold and never sent their feedback apart from 1 leading station, who playlisted the singel, promoted it for its Malta Cahrts, and then pulled it out completely. AH WELL!! LIFE IS SO STRANGE SSOMETIMES. On saying this on a negative note, i would like to finish this news piece on a super positive note. Please alloe me to share the excitement of my second number 1 single with all of you. Many thanks for your support and remember K.I.S.S. Keep it simple stupid. Try it out. xx
After 6 weeks in the recording and dance studio writing more and more music, and perfecting my choreographies for ‘Sophie Live’ as advised by f2f Music Limited, I was invited by My Local Church to appear at the annual Charity evening ‘Lejla Pawlina’. This was my 6th consecutive appearance at this event in my home town of St. Paul’s Bay. This year was slightly different to normal as I was appearing as the newly signed Artist with a growing International Profile. The reception I received was very warm indeed and I really do appreciate this support from my fellow villagers. This set of 3 songs was also a great chance to try out my new dancers in public. Both Raquel and Leanne did fantastically well, especially that they were under pressure to deliver a very tight set supporting me. The performance of ‘K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid)’ was flimed and sent to f2f Music Limited so that they can view the new dancers in action. ‘Lejla Pawlina’ also saw the participation of a host of local Artists and this list included mu\y cousins Miki and Rebecca. Here I also found out that Miki will be competing for the Junior Eurovision Malta Heats (and that brings me sweet memories of my earlier childhood) and Rebecca was competing in the Grand Final of a leading Maltese Festival ‘Indifest 2009’. I wish them the best of luck. I know they are gonna do very well as they are extremely talented.
Monday the 6th July 2009 was a special day. For this was the day that I released my 2nd single ‘K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid). This song is mjy first original and is co written by myself and My Music Producer Elton Zarb. The single is a true to life message about how I look upon life. My message is always to keep life simple, and not to complicate matters. An easy life means a beautiful life. A complicated life is awful. To mark the single release My Management planned a bus tour around the Maltese Islands to promote the single and also to collect funds for my favourite charity ‘Puttinu Cares Children Cancer Support Group’. But unfortunately the bus tour was postponed due to severe red tape by the local authorities to get the Show on the road. I visited XFM 100.2’s breakfast show where the morning crew welcomed me in style. Thanks Christine, Malcolm and Arthur. You can here me on this show by clicking here:
On Sunday 15th June 2009 was the date, 2 years on, where I had to sadly say farewell to Angie Laus, Mario Coleiro, Ryan Schembri, Diane Difesa and all the Family at ‘Hadd Ghalik’. I had been invited on the Tv Show as a resident singer on its Full debut in October 2007. On the show i used to sing cover versions whicj i would 'Sophify'. Every Sunday i was at the Tv studios, full excitement. It was always the same. My favorite moment was in April 2009 when i was signed by f2f Music Limited and My family at 'Hadd Ghalik' celebrated their 'Baby' s signing (That's how Angie Laus describes me LOL) with a 30 minute dedication. WOW. Unfortunately by June 2009 with my schedule getting busier, f2f Music limited advised me to slow down my appearances, and they were right. I was truly finding it much harder to cope with the songwriting, producing, choreographing, vocal training and school of course J. So I had to loose one of my passions, and that unfortunately was regular TV appearances. I chose to sing my last song as a resident on the show totally dedicated to a very special person to me during the last 2 years – Angie Laus. The song titled ‘One more for my baby’ was very emotional. I will always hold ‘Hadd Ghalik’ to my heart and will always be ready to visit the show to see My Family again even if I am on the other side of the World. Love you all ‘Hadd Ghalik’.
On Mond
ay 8th June 2009 ‘The Clapping Song’ was officially released in the United Kingdom and Europe. The launch was quite successful as obviously i am realtively unknown Internationally and my only claim to Internatonal recognition was with the 'Junior Eurovision 2006' Final appearance in Bucharest. My debut single 'The Clapping Song' managed to get into many playlists across UK in big stations like Citybeat in Belfast, Radio Wey in Surrey, Gaydar Radio Nationwide, Aston FM Birmingham, Moviehouse Radio Belfast, Sunshine Radio Nationwide, The Bridge Stourbridge and many others. In Europe Radio Stations too responded with play lists at Cool FM on the Costa Blanca, Central FM in Benidorm, Malaga and Gibraltar, Radio Napa in Cyprus, Bay Radio in Spain and Radio Stations in Monaco and Greece. This has made it a good start and i can only better myself on this. The Clapping song is also being considered for the Charts playlist at Expat Charts in 14 countries.
Various online media covered the single launch .......Take a look at 2 examples here:

For all this, to be happening only 3 months after being signed, I must thank my brilliant team who are working very hard in promoting me across the Globe. I do Love them all so much xx
On Tuesday 2nd June 2009 I was invited to headline the Melita Malta Football Awards 2009 at The 5 star Glitzy Grand Hotel Excelsior in Valletta. The evening had an aura of importance as in the audience were Malta’s elite personalities in The Worlds of Sport and Showbiz. This was a special night for me as I World Premiered my new single ‘K.I.S.S. Keep it simple stupid’. The single is co written by myself and My Music Producer Elton Zarb. At The Melita Malta Football awards I was joined on stage by my fabulous dancers Charlotte, Miky, Anthea and Nicole. Present were also Emma, Leanne and Raquel who were short listed from the dance au
ditions. We all had a fabulous time. Something quite unusual happened the following day. One of Malta’s biggest Radio Stations, XFM 100.2 were covering the event and unknowng to me their station Manager Mr. Donny Hughes loved the single and contacted My Record Label f2f Music Limited for immediate playlisting. He told Mr. Graham Mulvein that he even preferred it to My debut BIG hitter ‘The Clapping Song’. I would like to thanks Catherine and Mario Xuereb at Events Services for their kind invite.
On Sunday 23rd May my Management organized Dance Auditions at The Radisson Blue Hotel Bay Point, in St. Julian’s. These auditions were held to strengthen My Dance Team. XFM 100.2 powered the auditions with daily promos as did Where’s everybody through their TV show ‘Hadd Ghalik’. The auditions were a success as we shortlisted 3 fantastic dancers with potential to be one of my main dancers. These were Emma Lanzon, Raquel Grech and Leanne Cauchi. I must thank the following people who made the auditions possible with their kind help… Angie Laus, Isabelle Debattista, Colette Debattista, Rosanne Zammit, Anthea Zammit, Miky Gatt, Claudette Gatt, Miki Debattista, Charlotte Debattista, Nathan Bugeja, Tilly Howes, and Daniel Casingena. Also many thanks to the sponsors as without them My Management could not have organized these auditions. XFM 100.2, Island Hotels Group, Besteam Audio, Where’s Everybody and Fotoclassic.
On Saturday 24th May 2009 I was invited to perform The Clapping Song at the lavish Diet Coke Malta Fashion Awards. The 5000 strong audience danced and sang with me throughout. With such a fantastic setting and 5 star surroundings it was one of my most memorable moments to date. And to make it a perfect evening I was told that My performance went out to millions of televiewers across the Globe through a transmission by The World Fashion TV Channel and also to tens of thousands of Maltese viewers thanks to TVM. Special thanks to my fabulous dancers Charlotte, Miky, Anthea and Nicole who gave a very tight and amazing show supporting me. I am already looking forward to next year's event. Also thanks to Mr. Adrian J. Mizzi the producer of the awards for his kind invitation. Thankyou Adrian.
On Sunda
y 3rd May I was invited to participate at the annual Football Marathon in aid of ‘Puttinu Cares Children’s Cancer Support Group’ which was officially set up in 2002.

AIMS of the group:

To campaign for the provision of a coordinated network of care and support
To promote models of good care and practice
To support families with a national information service

To assist affected children by improving the environment in which they are treated
To raise funds through sponsorships, donations and fundraising activities or through any other means as the Management Committee may determine
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I really enjoyed this show in particular as the Children who live at The Rainbow Ward at ‘Mater Dei’ Hospital, give me a lot of courage. They inspire me. So it was a pleasure to attend and support the Marathon and I will do it forever more. They are my favourite charity.
On Saturday 2nd May 2009 I was the special guest star at the Eden Century Cinemas ‘Hannah Montana’ movie Premiere. This was an appearance that will go down in the history books. After I had performed my two singles ‘Baby give it up’ and ‘The Clapping Song’ to the screaming teenagers in the auditorium, I was asked to meet some of the teenagers in the Cinema reception area. As I stepped out of the cinema around 500 teenagers followed me out, emptying the Cinema seats. They wanted to meet me and wanted my autograph and I had to sign and sign and sign…. J My dancers Miky and Anthea were also asked for autographs as the ‘Hannah Montana’ movie premiere was briefly transformed into ‘Sophiemania' LOL. This delayed the Movie Premiere screening by 45 minutes. So that should now be pencilled into the ‘Movie Premiere’ record books. Special thanks to Messrs Decesare, 89.7 Bay and Eden Century Cinemas for their invite. I really loved each and every minute.
I would like to share this really excitng News with you.
